Applied Science and Humanities

The department attempts at holistic development of its students. It prepares the students for higher studies and for industries by imparting fundamental facets of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Professional Communication and first year engineering subjects.

The courses taught by the teachers of this department lay the foundation of engineering sciences. Professional communication is of particular importance for improving the vocal and written skills of students. An understanding of Physics and Chemistry is essential for several engineering subjects like electronics, electrical engineering and engineering materials. Mathematics is undisputedly important in all fields of engineering.

Following are the laboratories run by the department to meet requirement of B.Tech course:

Physics Lab

Well equipped laboratory is setup to learn the concepts of applied physics by doing experiments.

Apparatus are available to fulfill the course requirements as per AICTE norms.

Chemistry Lab

Chemistry lab is well maintained and all the equipments are running properly.

Linguistics Lab

Language lab was set up with the aim to provide a platform to the students for improving their communication skills and enhance their presentation ability. Speaking, learning, reading and writing are the four dimensions of one’s personality. The aim of the language lab is to enable our students in all these four dimensions to improve their personality. It works on improving the communication skills, presentation ability, and pronunciation of the students and provides them the knowledge of speech sounds and phonetic transcription.

The Laboratory with its stimulating and intellectual environment is a heavenly refuge for those engaged in intellectual pursuits. The intensity of its environment is a motivation for those wishing to benefit from ever expanding frontiers of knowledge. To develop the communication skills of the students, the institute has set up a well-equipped lab as per the requirements of the University. The emphasis is on developing and improving student’s spoken, listening, reading and writing capabilities.
